I lost the first 30 minutes of this film, but still, I liked it. It is a very interesting critic to the reality of conservative islamic countries who don't respect the Human rights, but specially women's rights. Marjane, the unconformist protagonist in this story, passes through a lot of conlicts in her life like being moving to another country and discriminated because of her origins, who have nothing to do with who she really is.
With this film, I could only question myself, why the he

Film review: Land of Plenty
The film "Land of Plenty" from the director Wim Wenders is based on an ambiguous issue, the United States from Bush era, and I say ambiguous because it is an interesting issue to dissect, the american paranoia about terrorism and the attack to those who fill the "terrorist stereotype", but the way that this director (or maybe the writer) treated this, made the film a little bit boring at some point.
It touches a very sensitive point, religion. The United States are ruled by "the words of God", presidents have to pledge allegiance with the right hand on a Bible and they even have written "In God we trust" in every money bills, so they are a very religious country. And this film shows that contradiction on the american society, the Christian Fundamentalism. The Christians pretend to show that they love their next but at some point in the Bible is written something like - Those who work on Saturday should be killed - but this is something I just heard, I don't have time to read that best-seller.
Anyway, in conclusion this film shows that, although americans preach the love and compassion for their next, they are very sellective and don't have second thoughts when they see someone who "looks" like a terrorist and judge them immediately.

Film Review // Lost in Translation
Just like Milton, I have seen (w. vb. tense: it is known/implied when the action took place) this film for the 2nd time and I think it was a more intereseting (w. spelling) film then (ww) when I've seen (w. vb. tense) it for the first time.
The film "Lost in Translation" showed very well the dificulty (w. spelling) to survive in a foreign country and the inside loneliness of the main characters that hit the rock bottom when they travelled to Japan to supposedly improve their lifes.(wrong plural form)
It X (missing word) a touching and really funny film because of the oddity of the japanese people and the lack of communication between them and the main characters.
I don't know if we have to qualify (ww) the films but I X give it 8/10*.

Work about Women's right to vote
In past times women were treated like inferior beings. When I say past times I’m referring to the 20th century and before, but even today they don’t have the same rights as men do. In the world of business, women have always been chosen after men because of their supposed lack of strength or intelligence. Nothing more wrong, women should be treated the same way men are and should have the same opportunities.
In politics the majority of the countries are ruled by men, and most of them don't care about the people but only about money and power. The 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (passed by Congress June 4, 1919, and ratified on August 18, 1920) guaranteed women’s right to vote, which was a first step to correct an injustice. Almost 100 years have passed, but women are still rising by creating and participating in revolutionary movements, protesting against their discrimination.

'Occupy' movements in U.S.A.
I used to like Obama but when he gives permission to something like that I start to think why somebody has given him the Nobel prize if he doesn't stop this kind of abuse against people who are fighting peacefully for equality...

An American Crime
I suggest that we see this film in class. It's called "An American Crime" and it is about women's rights.
