Domestic Violence

One of the acts of violence which cause women most suffering is domestic violence. This represents the abusive behavior someone suffers from his/her partner. This abuse isn’t necessarily physical violence; it may also implicate psychological violence, like offenses.
Women are more exposed to it than men and there is no comparison between the number of women and the number of men who are victims of domestic violence. The main countries where this occurs is the Eastern countries, where women are still considered to be below men and barely have any rights, being submitted to their partner’s will. However, in the most developed countries there are still abuses as well, especially from drunk partners. Women aren’t as afraid as they were on reporting it to the authorities, but there is still a long way to go before it goes away.
